As you read through this blog, you may scratch your head and question yourself on MANSOURA? What is this? or perhaps where on earth is this place?
From the well known source: Wikipedia it says that El Mansoura (Arabic: المنصورة, al-manṣūrah) is a city in Egypt, with a population of 420,000. It is the capital of the Dakahlia Governorate.
By its name it means 'The Victorious' named after they win the battle over Louis IX of France during the Seventh Crusade. It lies on the east bank of Dumyat (a.k.a Damietta) branch of the Nile ( Nile River..the longest river in the world).Opposite of the Nile bank is the Town of Talkha which together forms the Mansoura as a metropolitan city.
Mansoura was established on 1219 by Saladin's brother, Abu-Bakr Malik Al-Adil I (also known as Saphadin) of the Ayyubid dynasty.Of course after the battle over Louis IX of France. and bla bla bla.. please refer to WikiSeriousFacts.
